Abstract

The economic and operational performance of renewable energy projects depend on a multitude of factors, such as technical, economic, environmental, and climate-related factors. A comprehensive assessment of these factors is crucial for the success of a project, but this is hard due to their different nature, which makes trade-offs difficult to assess, and can even make measurement and data collection challenging. In this talk, I propose a decision support system based on Dominance Rough Set Approach and Geographic Data Processing to address these challenges. The proposed model allows decision makers and experts to aggregate their knowledge, generating holistic recommendations without the need for any traditional preference parameters, and helping the evaluation of new project locations.
