CDR's Gulbanu Kaptan has a successful Summer, receives funding and presents for the Society of Risk Analysis Europe

Gulbanu Kaptan and an interdisciplinary team of academics from the University of Leeds (led by Caroline Orfila from Leeds Global Food and Environment Institute) received funding from University of Leeds Pump-priming funding for Interdisciplinary Research Initiatives for a 2-year project on Mapping the Leeds urban food system and exploring the implications for social justice, and environmental and dietary health.

Gulbanu Kaptan presented a paper entitled “Risk and benefit perceptions of nanotechnology applications in Singapore” (with Saji George from McGill University, Joel Lee from Nanyang Polytechnic, and Lynn Frewer from Newcastle University) in the Risk Communication Syposium of the 28th Annual Conference of the Society for Risk Analysis-Europe that was held in Potsdam (Germany) on 23-26 June
