Gulbanu Kaptan (Co-I) has been awarded a Research England Policy Support Funding, in collaboration with Alessandro Biraglia (PI) and Luca Sabini (Co-I) to identify and classify the UK legislations that prevent (or bolster) food upcycling practices at national and local levels, develop a roadmap recommending policy amendments, and connect policymakers and businesses in the Leeds City Region for exploring collaboration opportunities and driving sustainable innovations. This is a 9-month project starting in November 2022, in partnership with the Leeds City Council.
