Andrea Taylor presents initial results from the Lloyd’s Register Foundation project
Andrea Taylor presented the interim results from the project funded by Lloyd’s Register Foundation “Analysing risk perception and preparedness to develop effective disaster risk communication strategies” at the WMO/WWRP Weather & Society Conference on 29th February.
This conference covered a number of themes linked to the UN initiative Early Warnings for All, with Andrea’s presentation focusing on predictors of risk preparedness. The findings presented show that there is high variability between countries in terms of the relationship between reported experience of disasters and perceived national level preparedness.
